What others say

Here’s just a few comments from some of the gigs we’ve played

Simon Vyse – Pauline and Simon’s Wedding in Hampshire – “My wife and I hired Elm Street Grove for our wedding and they simply rocked! The dance floor wasn’t empty for one second and compliments from our guests about the band came thick and fast! They had a great song selection list packed full with real party starters. The whole night was a musical success, and hiring them was one of the finest choices we made. Thank you to all the band members for making our special day so memorable.”

Leigh Rogers – Njinga Cycling Annual Awards Evening in Teddington – “Hi John. Just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and the band for playing at our awards evening. It was fabulous and of course as you saw, everyone enjoyed it hugely. Thanks again and look forward to doing it all again on Saturday for our Santa Charity Bike Ride. Right now we’re at 120 Santas! See you then. Leigh”

Alex Mitchell – 60th Birthday Party in Crawley – “Gentlemen, just a quick note to thank you for playing so outstandingly well at my birthday party on Saturday – great performance and all my guests loved it.  Need to find an excuse to get you back again! Regards Alex”

Carol and Darren – Guildford Wedding – “Darren and I would like to thank Elm Street Groove for a fantastic performance at our Wedding Reception. We have received tons of feedback that you were great musicians and performers and the energy of the band was great! – The song choices were perfect for us and our guests, and we danced all night long! We couldn’t thank Richard and his band enough for being polite, prompt, and very professional!

Angie and Tom – West Sussex Wedding – “We had a festival type wedding for 150+ people at The Blue Ship, a country pub near Billingshurst, in July 2017. So many people told us it was the best wedding ever and helping us achieve that was the fantastic Elm Street Groove! The dance floor was packed from the first chords of Stereophonics Dakota to the final drum beat of Kaiser Chiefs I Predict a Riot – over 30 songs spread over two one hour sets plus encores. The boys were amazing! The Blue Ship landlady has already contacted them to arrange further gigs so I can assure you it’s not the opinion of a delusional happy wedding couple! And their communication with us in the months leading up to the event was second to none. Highly, highly recommended.”

Josie Kelly – 40th Birthday Party
 – “Elm Street Groove played for my 40th Birthday party and were fantastic. The playlist was perfect, everyone was up and dancing and shouting for more! They even embraced our dressing up theme. Highly recommended. Wish we could do it all again! You made the night, thanks so much. I really have had such good feedback about you guys from my friends, I would be surprised if you don’t get more gigs off the back of it!Neil and Sophie – Lensbury Wedding – “We were very lucky to have Elm Street Groove to play at our wedding reception. They were fantastic; one of the highlights of our day! They kept the dance floor busy from start to finish, and played a great mix of music. There was a really good variety including tracks from the Killers and Kings of Leon as well as some older classics mixed in too, and it meant that people of all ages were up and dancing. The band performed brilliantly for us, and they were all so down to earth and friendly which is also a bonus. They were prompt at getting back to our emails and sorting out any paperwork that was needed. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a live band!”

Arthur Beattie – Promoter –  “I have known Elm Street Groove for some time. They have played for me on two occasions, I have a number of bands and try to rotate them on a regular basis.
The first time they played was at an outdoor music festival where they were very accommodating and handled a number the issues of playing outside (and a broken string) very professionally. Last time was in a pub, where they were superb.
Their style is rock classics mixed with modern day covers that work really well with a contemporary crowd. They are very tight and work the crowd very well. Sound wise, I cannot fault them – they are very consistent and very powerful with lots of energy.I am currently organising a big charity gig and have asked them to headline with two other bands. I also have a couple if other dates I have offered them for pub gigs.Richard, Mark, Ollie and John are really nice guys. They have always been very reliable, courteous and professional in our dealings so I would be happy to recommend them”

Sarah Drane – St John’s PSA Chair – “Elm Street Groove played at our PSA Summer BBQ and did a brilliant job. They played to a packed playground of parents and lively children and kept everyone entertained. The set was just right (a mix of old and new classics) and the band remained cheerful and professional throughout, despite having to endure live water fights, kids wanting to learn how to play the drums and an extremely low-fi stage and lighting set-up. They brought their own equipment, which made our lives a lot easier, and allowed us to use their amp for our playlist during the breaks. Would thoroughly recommend the band for a great family show.”
